Red Barn Farm, a charming pizza restaurant nestled within a picturesque family farm in Northfield, MN, offers a unique dining experience that stands out in the local culinary scene. Open exclusively on Wednesday nights from May to mid-October, this hidden gem invites guests to immerse themselves in a delightful outdoor picnic atmosphere. Customers rave about the wood-fired pizzas, which come in a generous 16-inch size, featuring a crispy crust that's perfect for families and friends alike. Flavors like simple cheese and pepperoni are crafted with care, although some diners noted the cheese could use a bit more flavor. The farm's inviting ambiance includes plenty of space for picnics, where patrons can bring their own chairs, blankets, and even beverages, creating a customized experience. The lack of garbage cans encourages a clean, intimate setting, though guests should come prepared with trash bags. Alongside the pizzas, homemade ice cream offers a refreshing finish to the evening. With live music and a backdrop of grazing horses and chickens, Red Barn Farm promises a wholesome outing. Despite minor setbacks like the need for reservations and occasional flies, the enchanting environment and satisfying food make this a memorable stop for any pizza lover. Don't miss the chance to experience the joy of dining under the stars!

Only open Wednesday nights for pizza night. Make sure to bring cash, make a reservation, bring everything you need for a picnic. There are some tables and chairs, but if you want to bring a blanket to sit in the yard, you can. Bring your cooler with drinks, paper plates, napkins, trash bag you have to carry everything out with you. There are not even any garbage cans.

This place is great to check out. It's on a family farm, but there is a ton of space to find a spot and eat. Bring your own chairs or blankets. Also bring your own plates and utensils. The pizza tastes great! They have a number of options. All wood fired. They all come in 16" size. They do have some sodas but not many options, so bring your own if you want something else. They also have ice cream. Be sure to bring a trash bag, as they do not have trash cans.

Adorable farm with great pizza! There was a ton of space to put down a blanket/chairs and enjoy the evening. And the ice cream hit the spot since the sun was fierce on the day we went! Also love that you can bring in your own sides and NA drinks. Highly recommend visit!

The farm was extremely picturesque, and we enjoyed sitting on the lawn chairs we brought enjoying the panoramic views watching the horses and chickens and listening to the live music. The pizza was delicious. We had a simple cheese and a pepperoni with the kids and everyone enjoyed the fired crust, ample cheese and sauce. After pizza we had ice cream bars and soda in a glass bottle and then enjoyed some lawn games on their beautiful lawn by the vineyard. We loved our time at the farm and are already planning another visit.

Pizza was wood fired which had a decent flavor to it; however the cheese wasn't very good, thought it could've used a little more sauce and cheese along with flavor, it was cool for a one time experience. FYI They were tons of flies everywhere, The barn is pretty, kids were feeding horses and chicken/rooster were pretty to look at, said you need to make reservations online the Friday before the Wednesday you want to go.

I just came here last night with my family and we had such a great time! I went here in 2021 and it was even better the second time around. We made an online reservation ahead of time and it was pretty busy when we arrived. 30 minute wait time for the pizza but it was SO worth it!! Their crust is so good. Also – shoutout to the girl who took our order. We made customizations and special requests and there was no problem. Super cute horses and chickens on site. They have some picnic tables but most people bring their own blankets/chairs. This is my new favorite summer spot! Tip: bring cash or a check (there is an ATM on site) and your own drinks/utensils!

This was my second visit to Red Bar Farm for their pizza. My first visit was in 2018, and I remember being charmed by the idillic ambiance and impressed by the delightful wood fired pizza. I live in Minneapolis, so Northfield is a bit of a trek, but I decided to add Red Barn Farm to my fall bucket list for 2022. Reservations open the week before, and I’d recommend snagging a spot as soon as possible. Reservations for today (Sunday) opened up on Tuesday, and I claimed one right away. The reservation process is totally painless. My partner and I booked an 11 am spot, and we showed up promptly at 11 am. The woman who took our order was friendly and welcoming. We ordered two pies and were told that they were be ready in 5-10 minutes. Sure enough, two steaming hot pies materialized within minutes, and we were grateful for the warmth on a chilly fall day. The pizzas are pricey, and range from 22-25, but they are quite large, and each one can feed 2-3 people. We ordered 2 pizzas for 2 people, and we ended up with a lot of leftovers, which was fine with us. The pizzas were so tasty. We got the Margherita and the Big Wave. The Big Wave was our favorite, and we loved the Margherita too, but we wish it came with red sauce and not just tomatoes. That was our only complaint though. The whole experience was lovely- friendly, efficient, and delicious! Can’t wait to come back again when it’s a bit warmer!

Came here for pizza night. What a wonderful place this is! Surrounded by farmland, the red bard, horses and homes. The place is gorgeous and so good for photography. I wish I'd gotten married here The pizza was pretty good. The line was long and the place was crowded with picnic-ers sitting a respectful distance from each other. We didn't try their ice cream but maybe next time! The wait for the pizza was 15 mins. You have to bring your own picnic blankets, utensils, napkins and you have to take all your trash with you. Just basic rules really.
